I stumbled upon an article on TechLoy.com , where Seun Osewa turned down a $1 million offer for Nairaland.com from MIH internet Africa, owners of Dealfish and Kalahari. It was also learnt that He, Seun Osewa turned down a N30 million offer for his Nairalist.com classified website,that's no longer functioning. #wow He also Made it clear to other investors that his Nairaland website isn't going to be sold for anything less than N25 Billion Naira. *LOL* It was a good decision, but I think it might also be a Bad decision in someway, considering what happened to Nairalist.

 A MUM has described her terror after she was bitten by a snake which had snuggled up on her chest as she slept. Caroline Griffin woke up to find the 4ft reptile beneath her duvet. When she screamed, the brown and cream creature sank its fangs into her bosom – leaving bruising and angry puncture marks. Caroline, 49, feared she might be seriously injured – or even that she might die – because she didn’t know if the snake was poisonous. But she was put at ease when a neighbour from five doors away arrived to claim the reptile – which had escaped SIX MONTHS earlier. Members of the O’odua People’s Congress, OPC, and concerned Lagosians rescued a teenager, who was raped, robbed and abandoned by an unidentified man in Agege area of Lagos, PM NEWs reports The OPC members saw the secondary schoolgirl on Sunday, 9 March in a traumatized state at a public toilet near NITEL Office, at Oko Oba, Agege And after giving her first aid treatment, the teenager was handed over to the police at the Agege Elere Police Divisional Headquarters, who referred her to Orile Agege General Hospital,  Agege for a comprehensive medical treatment. The teenager, who will be 15 by August, narrated that she came from Osun State and was on her way to Badagry to stay with her aunty who had just given birth, but decided to have a stay the night at Agege, when it became late (around 9.p.m.) and she couldn’t get a bus to her destination. The Sabo Police Station on Tuesday arraigned a 49-year-old pastor, Moyo Martins, before a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly cutting off the fingers of a two-year-old child, Saidat Faleye. The incident happened on Olumo Street, Iwaya Onike, Yaba, Lagos State. It was learnt that the mother of the victim, Mrs. Bola Faleye, had left her in the care of Martins on Thursday, when she wanted to take her bath. After she was gone, the child and the suspect were said to have been together in his room. About five minutes later, our correspondent gathered that the child suddenly let out a loud shriek of pain which drew the attention of neighbours. They reportedly alerted her mother who equally rushed to the scene in panic. She found her child’s ring and little fingers chopped off. It was alleged that Martins sawed off the fingers in his room. According to a report by Punch , a nursing mother in Akwa Ibom named Imaobong Udoh (pictured above) has been arrested for allegedly selling her 3-day old baby girl for N260,000. Full report below Also arrested along with Imaobong were four persons for allegedly participating in the theft of the baby. They are the buyer, Mrs. Regina James; her husband, Mfon James; the traditional birth attendant who delivered the baby, Mrs. Comfort Henry; and Mr Emmanuel Okon, a homeopathic doctor, who arranged the sale. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Umar Gwadabe, said in Uyo on Monday that the father of the baby had reported the theft to the police, leading to the arrest of the suspects. Stern looking fully armed security operatives from the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police Force on Tuesday morning surrounded the headquarters of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in Abuja. Although officials of the corporation denied any bomb threat, our correspondent gathered that the heavily armed men were drafted to site following claims of possible attack on the NNPC towers by terrorists. Asked to comment on why there was huge security presence at the towers, a visibly angry officer on duty at the corporation declared, “are you new in this country or are you not aware of happenings in the north? Come on keep moving!” The security officials ensured that there was free flow of traffic on roads leading to the corporation. It was also learnt that the security operatives, who arrived the venue around 6am on Tuesday morning, restricted movement into the towers. The federal Governnent and the accademic staff union of universities have reached an agreement to end the over five month old strike by asuu. The lecturer's association has however said that it's member may return to work next week. The supervising minister of education, Mr, Nyesom Wile told journalists at a meetin with the leadership of asuu,president of Nigeria labour congress, Executive secratry of tie Nigerian Universities Commission and five chancelllors of Universit ies that all contending issues between the parties have been resolved.
