Olawale Ojo Emerges Winner of Project Fame West Africa Season 6.0

Olawale Ayodele Ojo has emerged the winner of Popular TV Reality Show, Project Fame West Africa Season. He earned the highest number of votes to win the first prize of N5m plus a multi-million naira recording contract and SUV followed by Immaculate who came second and Margaret third.
Olawale Ayodele Ojo is a 400level Agronomy Student of Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is fondly referred to by friends as ‘Pimp’ because of his amazing skill in laptop and phone repairs. He looks forward to being a better performer after his Academy experience and especially looks forward to a life-transforming encounter with Uncle Ben.
When stressed out, he takes solace in Jazz music. If allowed to take anything into the academy, it will be my phone, reason being that I can listen to music and also surf the internet.
His name ‘Olawale’ means ‘wealth has come home’.

ASUU Forced To Call Off Strike

In a motion dated 30 September, 2013, Barrister Onwe is seeking an order of court to compel ASUU to call off the strike it embarked upon in protest over the unwillingness of government to implement certain aspects of the agreement they reached over the parlous state of Nigerian universities and other issues. In a 15-paragraph affidavit filed along with the motion, Onwe is asking the court to declare that the indefinite strike embarked upon by ASUU, leading to the closure of government owned universities for three months, violates the fundamental rights of the students affected. He argued that the continued strike action by ASUU has traumatized many students who now engage in all sorts of vices.
