“Wake Me up When the Third Video Is Out”: Fans Criticize Davido’s Official ‘Skelewu’ Video

Image
After rejecting the first ‘Skelewu’ Music video last week, Davido has released a new video. Fans were not amused insisting that the first video was way better than the latest one. One Ikenna Ike joke, “Somebody please wake me up when the third video is out…” Another John Oluwaseyi said, “Honestly, there is no sense in this video . Sesan Video is more interesting and Quality wise, it was PERFECT Video For that SONG, The dance steps, you dance nicely also, compare a video shoot in Nigeria and one in UK …. No need to waste money Broh. Sesan Video is still the BEST !!!” Some fans felt that Davido needed advice going forward and they were more than willing to offer it. Godswill Ugbedah said, “The both videos are ok, just that u expected more and it is understandable. But always know that u cant fully expect fans to be so satisfied because of the great videos u had in the past. Originate a different video concept in ur next project. Inbox me if u need ideas lol. Kudos OBO”

Posterity Won’t Forgive Us If We Allow Universities to Collapse, So Stop Begging & Act: ASUU Tells Jonathan

Image
he Academic Staff Union of Universities has turned down President Goodluck Jonathan’s plea for the lecturers to end their 114-day-old strike. The Chairman of ASUU at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Prof. Adegbola Akinola, and his University of Ibadan chapter counterpart, Dr. Olusegun Ajiboye, said university teachers would only return to the classrooms if the government honoured the 2009 agreement it entered into with them. They spoke just as the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, berated the union, saying it had taken unionism to an all time low. But Akinola told journalists during a rally staged by members of the union in Ile-Ife on Monday, that Jonathan needed not beg for the strike to be called off. He said, “ASUU does not need any plea from Mr. President. We are not asking for impossible things. The Federal Government reached an agreement with us and we are asking them to honour it. It is so simple. “Government should be honourable. Is it

The truth about Govt's position on ASUU strike - Finance Ministry

Image
This is a press statement from the Federal Ministry of Finance about the ongoing ASUU strike. It's been four long months (Quite shameful I must add) with no apparent resolution to the conflict in sight...and some people are blaming the Minister of finance Dr Okonjo Iweala for what's going on. Some people in ASUU have been distributing flyers with abusive messages against Dr Okonjo-Iweala and now the ministry is issuing a statement about it, saying the minister is not the problem. I'd rather read about when ASUU is calling off this strike to be honest. Find the press statement below Contrary to some recent media reports, the Federal government has not adopted a take-it-or-leave-it approach in its negotiations with ASUU. Rather, the approach is focused on positive engagement and achieving sustainable solutions to the challenges facing higher education in the country. That is why President Goodluck Jonathan recently appealed to ASUU to respond to government’s p
