LAGOS—Bagido area of Ijede Lagos, was weekend thrown into mourning following the discovery of the decomposing bodies of a man, his wife and five children in their building. The man identified as Etim Edet was reportedly a staff of Nigeria Brewery Plc. The family of seven was suspected to have been killed by fume from a power generator mounted in the house. The late Etim, was reported to have been last seen at his place of work on April 25, 2014. Apprehension reportedly set in following his absence on April 28, without prior notice, an action his colleagues described as unusual. Tension heightened over his continued absence till Friday, with calls on his mobile telephone unanswered. Some of his colleagues said to have gone to check on him at home became curious following the stench that was emanating from the building. Consequently, policemen from Ijede division were alerted and when the door was forced open, the decomposing bodies were discovered. The bodies included that of

An uncompleted 2-storey building collapsed yesterday at Ologuneru in Ido LGA of Ibadan city with one feared dead. According to those who were working at the site, they head a deafening noise at about 2pm , which made them all run out for safety but unfortunately, the tipper driver who supplies sand to the construction site didn't run fast enough and got trapped in the building as it collapsed. Men from the Nigerian Security & Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps & other agencies were involved in rescue efforts but were not able to lift the heavy debris to rescue the man on time. The site engineer reportedly fled the scene immediately the collapse happened.

According to a report by Tribune , a 29-year-old man named Kingsley Ekerete (pictured above), has been arrested for killing his own 7 year old daughter over a plate of boiled rice in Obimama, Oyigbo LGA of Rivers state. Kingsley, a commercial driver who hails from Nto Osung community in Ikot Ekpene Local Area of Akwa Ibom State, holds just a First Leaving Certificate and has to drive his bus daily through the bustling traffic of Port Harcourt to make ends meet and put food on the table for his young family. A newly discovered four-eyed fish is baffling scientists with its 360 degree vision. The glasshead barreleye, which can be found 1,000m deep, has evolved with extra eyes to help detect prey, potential mates and predators. It was found by excited researchers at the University of Tubingen’s Institute of Anatomy in Germany. As well as its two primary cylindrical eyes – which point upwards – the fish also has a second set of silvery ones on the side its head. These have a second mirror-like lens and retina, and give this creature a definite advantage in the ocean. It’s said the fish can grow up to a length of 16cm, although you wouldn’t want to come face-to-face with it.

Well, I guess the story is false cos Olamide denied the story to the extent that he seriously insulted Linda Ikeji, he even called her "Oloshi", claiming she never supported him or his music but only to write false news about him.
