Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caretaker Committee Publicity Secretary and a governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, staged a road show recently in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, in solidarity with him over the crisis sparked by the adoption of the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, as the party’s candidate for the 2018 governorship election by Governor Ayo Fayose.  Adeyeye, who spoke with reporters at his campaign headquarters, insist that he is still in the race and that a credible shadow election will be held to choose the party’s candidate for the election. WIFE of human rights activist Femi Falana (SAN), Funmi, has urged the Federal Government to ensure that the prisons serve as corrective centres and not a place for punishing offenders. She spoke at the ninth graduation for 45 inmates of the Kirikiri Prisons organised by the Prison Fellowship Nigeria (PFN), a non-governmental organisation (NGO). They were trained in soap making, paint making, tye and dye, among other vocational skills. Mrs Falana, a lawyer, who represented her husband as chairman, said since the bulk of those in prison were youths, it was imperative that the deviants should be rehabilitated so that they would become better citizens after serving their terms. She decried the state of the prisons,saying they were too congested. Wealthy Malawi pastor,  Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is constructing another hotel in Rustenburg, South Africa. The Prophet Bushiri’s Prayer Mountain hotel development site is managed by Shepherd Bushiri (SB) Hotels, a subsidiary of Shepherd Bushiri Investments (SBI) Limited.According to his communications director Ephraim Nyondo, the building is ‘one of the most fantastic hotels in the world’. “We are still at construction phase but we have big dreams. This is our Prayer Mountain site where different people will be come to pray with us—as such, we need to provide the people with descent levels of hospitality and relaxation,” said Nyondo. British Airways has reportedly launched an investigation into a trending video that shows one of their yet-to-be identified air stewardess making racist comments while laughing about Nigerian passengers on a flight from London to Abuja. In the shocking footage shared via Snapchat, the stewardess is heard saying; 'Alright, so all of yous are there getting ready for your Friday night, getting in the pre-drinks, you know, as you do.'And I'm here, getting ready to go to work, put on a yellow life jacket, point out the exits, hand out chicken or beef, what sort of Friday night is this for me? A middle-aged man, Akilu Alhaji Saidu, has been arrested by the police in Katsina state for killing his three-year-old step daughter. The spokes person of the Katsina State Police Command, DSP Gambo Isah, said the suspect after his arrest, confessed that he dragged the deceased to an uncompleted building in Yankara Village of Faskari Local government on September 17th and then twisted and broke her neck. The suspect alleged that he committed the crime under the influence of psychotropic substances (drugs that are capable of affecting the mind). The victim was rushed to the Funtua general hospital where she was confirmed dead. “The suspect took the deceased victim to an uncompleted building in the village, severely beat up the girl, she sustained various injuries before twisting and breaking her neck,” the police spokesperson said.The police spokesperson says the suspect would soon be charged to court.

The little boy pictured above was rescued by some neighbors from the hands of his aunt who has subjected him to torture for some time. A 23-year-old pastor of a Pentecostal church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Kingsley Ihunda, was over the weekend arraigned before a chief magistrates’ court for allegedly biting an expectant mother on the waist and infecting her with HIV during a deliverance session in his church on July 27th. The victim who already has a child, had gone to the pastor for prayers after she had lost several pregnancies. She was referred to the pastor by a female herbalist, Treasure Victor, who told her that the pastor's prayers were very effective as she had taken some other women to him for prayers. While testifying before the court, the victim said the hotness of her womb led her to seek spiritual help. She said when herself and the female herbalist got to the pastor's church, he asked her to provide N1, 500 for abottle of olive oil which she did. However, during the prayers, he asked her to raise her dress up. She refused initially but later agreed after the herbalist told her to.

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)  Happiness Chinenye Emmanuel passed away recently,  just two months to complete her service. She was laid to rest in her home town on Thursday, September 21. Her brother Kelechi Augustine Sunday, who announced her sad passing,  didn't mention what led to her death. On Sunday morning, a man who was arrested near the White House was found to have nine guns and three knives in his car, according to a police report.The man was initially stopped by law enforcement for allegedly urinating in public before Secret Service Uniform Division officers approached the man outside an art gallery in the area of 17th street and Pennsylvania Avenue near the White House. According to the incident report obtained by CNN, the suspect told Secret Service officers and agents that he was going to the White House to speak with National Security Agency Director Admiral Mike Rogersand Defense Secretary James Mattis"for advice on missing paychecks and how to get the chip out of my head". The man was discovered driving a 2009 Silver Nissan with Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police license plates. After being questioned by law enforcement and admitting to having multiple weapons he consented to a search of his vehicle.The search turned up nine guns, three kniv
