Biafra/Fayose: Fayose dares APC to name Saraki as IPOB sponsor.

Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has dared the All Progressives Congress (APC), to label Senate President Bukola Saraki, as a sponsor of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). On Monday, Saraki came out to condemn the categorization of IPOB as a terrorist group. In a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Fayose also claimed APC took side with Fulani herdsmen when they killed people in Oke-Ako, Ekiti State.He said: “Now that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki has come out to openly say that categorization of IPOB as a ‘terrorist organisation’ by the military is unconstitutional, is the APC also going to accuse him of sponsoring IPOB? ”Governor Fayose added: “It is on record that on June 10, 2013, it was widely reported in the media that the current Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who was the National Publicity Secretary of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) said that the proscription of Boko Haram was against the c

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has announced a conditional suspension of it nationwide industrial action.ASUU’s decision followed a reconciliation meeting with a Federal Government team which held today (Monday) in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.The talks with the Federal Government team came after about two weeks following the union’s consultations with its various chapters on the terms of agreement earlier reached by both parties.Details later…

Policeman shoots three people at child's dedication in Warri.

A police officer, Inspector Samuel Imana, at area command in Warri, Delta state has been alleged to have shot three persons mistakenly yesterday, after he was said to be acting under the influence of alcohol at a child's dedication. According to Sapele Olofofo, two of the victims,one Elvis Kugbere and another man have been confirmed dead, while the last one is in coma at UBTH. The incident reportedly happened at Ejewo Street, Off Okere Ugberikoko Road, Warri, Delta State.
